About Us

NPH Engineers is a professional civil engineering entity that offers professional services to other professional service providers. We understand that a great deal of our clientele is contracted to government entities, which have continued to suffer financial uncertainties which are transferred to our Clients.

We also work with our clients to understand how their Public Sector Client pays so that payment timeline expectations between ourselves and our clients are clarified. We understand our clients and try our best to reduce the financial burden on them whilst awaiting payment.

NPH embraces the 8 Core Principles of Good Customer Service - Pascal van Opzeeland 2018:

Speed:
NPH aims to deliver on our own work deadlines which are always set to be tighter than those of our clients. We deliver early to give time for client inputs and modifications.

Accuracy:

NPH appoints candidate and Professional engineers that have undergone training at the highest educational and professional levels, that have had the best industry exposure and know how to deliver great solutions first time. Continual training in the company focuses on knowledge expansion in new areas and expertise as well as soft skills like active listening and empathy.

Clarity:
AT NPH we focus on simplicity and clear communication. We train our staff to dedicate time in gaining an understanding of client requirements. We ask basic questions and strip away complicated jargon to create an environment of openness and objectivity.

Transparency:
We pride ourselves at NPH on our transparency and constant updating of clients. We use modern communication technologies to keep our Clients in the loop and limit any surprises in the work process and the quality of the finished product.

Accessibility:
NPH maintains a communication policy in which we commit to respond to all communication with a day of receiving it. We are committed to answering all queries and addressing all concerns from our clients. We use direct massaging technologies in addition to email on our projects as a proven communication means which is fast and direct. We always aim to be available to our clients to answer any questions.

Empowerment:
We believe in maintaining compliance to all quality standards which regulate our industry but focus on reducing internal bureaucracy for our staff. By doing this we create an environment where our professionals are given the creative room to find innovative solutions that comply to our clients requirements and reduce the time and financial costs to our clients. In order to effectively maintain that creative approach we constantly look to expand the knowledge of our Engineers so they are always aware of the discipline’s limitations.

Friendliness:
Service with a smile is one of our philosophies at NPH. Friendliness and politeness are focus points in our recruitment process as we recognize these qualities are very difficult to train. We maintain integrity and fairness in our advices to our clients and do not believe in being misleading for likeability at the detriment of our work and industry.

Efficiency:

Our Business focus is that of high volumes of work and tight profit margins so as to transfer the savings to our clients. We are constantly looking at ways of optimizing our business processes to reduce our costs whilst increasing our abilities to deliver within time and to high quality levels. Our focus is on providing a fast service and using technology for low costs so that we can provide value for money Professional services.

At NPH, we understand our clients desires.

In the current volatile Built Environment Market established Consultants often have to keep Expensive professional staff on their bankroll even though the flow of work doesn’t justify it - this becomes a problem.
Conversely an estimated 14% of South African civil engineering firms do not have professionally registered individuals within them. They are usually owned by directors who source the services of professional engineers to review and manage their works.

There is therefore great demand in the industry for professional engineers who can work on multiple projects for multiple building environment organizations at affordable rates.

In today’s economic climates it has become extremely difficult for Built Environment Entities to plan for growth as cash flows are challenged by late/non-payment by clients. Long term growth itself is threatened by the competitive financial margins linked to getting awarded Government work. As a result, our clients often find that it is extremely difficult to plan for growth as whilst there is variability in income the overhead burden often stays the same or increases due to overdrafts.
